Why Are People Demanding Justice for Farrukh Arshad?

Farrukh Arshad, a 33-year-old man, was allegedly abducted and murdered by three police officers. The accused officers, identified as Ejaz, Hamza, and Muazam Hussain, are believed to have kidnapped Farrukh on August 18th and taken him to a private apartment building in Ichhra. Initial reports suggested that Farrukh had died after falling from the rooftop of the building.

However, later investigations revealed that he was likely killed by the officers.

Farrukh Arshad’s family reported him missing after he disappeared two days ago and his phone became unreachable. His car was later found in Model Town, and his body was discovered near Sharif Plaza. While initial investigations suggested that Farrukh had died from a fall, further evidence implicated police officers in his abduction and murder. Three suspects have been arrested, while another suspect, a constable with the Dolphin Force, is currently at large.

The police are continuing their investigation into the case.

This incident is not an isolated one, and it highlights the grim reality of our justice system. The fact that law enforcement officers were able to abuse their power and carry out such a crime highlights the systemic issues within the policing structure. What trust can the public have in a justice system where the protectors turn perpetrators?

As investigations continue, it is crucial to demand more transparency, accountability, and reforms within the justice system to prevent future abuses of power and ensure that the true role of law enforcement is to protect citizens, not harm them.
